Circle of Care was founded in 2007 by Cynthia Chimienti, MA and Shannon Brown, MBA, ND, LAc to provide the best caregiver referrals in the Portland, Oregon region.
Cynthia is a psychotherapist and healthcare advocate. She has an MA in counseling from Pacifica Graduate Institute. Cynthia has worked in the fields of hospice, eldercare, and patient advocacy since 1998, after being introduced to home health and caregiving when she was abruptly confronted with her own parents’ illnesses and untimely deaths. Her own personal journey of caregiving and health advocacy, combined with her mental health background, led her to form Circle of Care.
Shannon is a naturopathic physician and licensed acupuncturist with a private practice in Portland, Oregon. He also holds an MBA from The Monterey Institute of International Studies. As an experienced caregiver himself, he is strongly committed to helping the elderly receive the compassionate and effective care they deserve, and helping caregivers make a sustainable living.
